TCS Soccer Field Update

"The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue belongs to the Lord."

God continues to pen the story of His provision for our soccer field renovation. In the fall of 2014, the Trinity Baptist Church congregation contributed $55,000 to help renovate the soccer field. A grassroots movement began in May of 2015 by several Trinity Christian School parents to raise additional funds for the project. Over $6,000 was earned in that fundraiser, and money has been consistently donated through the spring and summer.

Despite our best laid plans, TCS learned the contractor who had offered to complete the work significantly under cost would have to bow out due to unexpected and increased project demands.

In an attempt to move the project ahead in spite of this setback, the TCS Athletic Committee secured three bids from other contractors. The best bid required an additional $6,500 to be raised before the project could start. The pressure was on to meet a time deadline as we felt this was a great opportunity to complete Phase 1 of the project.

In just over three days, we received over $8,000 in donations towards the soccer field renovation, and money continues to pour in! Thank you to all those who prayed and gave.

Less than a week after we put out the plea, the heavy machinery started moving earth. Only those associated with Trinity Christian School realize how "earth-shattering" this operation really was! We praise the Lord for doing exceeding abundantly above all that we could ask or think.

Stay tuned for more updates and continue praying for the project to run smoothly as we complete Phase 1 and for the Lord to allow the necessary funds to flow in for Phase 2!

Alumni Weekend

We hosted an alumni weekend on November 1st and 2nd. This weekend started off with a soccer game with the alumni, traveling from near and far to participate, against the current soccer team. Though a rainy weekend, fun was had by all. We look forward to continue this weekend tradition again next year.

NEACS Tournament

Our girls' volleyball team gave a valiant effort in the first round of the NEACS regional tournament but were unable to defeat their opponent. Congrats to them for being the first TCS volleyball team to make it to Regionals!
The boys' soccer team won their first game and were able to move on to play in the championship game against SMCA. The competition was evenly matched, but SMCA was able to pull away with a win.
Lots of effort, hard work and positive attitude was put into this sports' season. Our teams were able to glorify God on and off the field and court and play with purpose.

NHACS Tournament

Congratulations to our volleyball team for placing third at the state tournament and qualifying for the regional tournament. Our soccer team also played well this weekend and placed second in the state tournament, also qualifying for the regional tournament to be played next weekend.
Shout out to our players who were named to the all tournament team.

Twin Day : Spirit Week

In preparation for our sports' tournaments this weekend, we have been having dress up days. Today was twin day, and we think these two teachers have done a fabulous job of catching on to the spirit of the day.

New England Regional Champions

The girls' basketball team had the opportunity to go to the New England Association of Christian Schools regional tournament. The girls were seeded number two in the region and played their first game against Emmanuel Christian Academy on Friday night. Defeating ECA 37-23, the TCS girls moved on to play South Merrimack Christian Academy on Saturday afternoon. Coming into the tournament, TCS was 0-3 this season against SMCA. Digging out of a thirteen point hole after the first quarter, the girls rallied to tie the score at half time. The team never looked back and ended up beating SMCA by eleven points. Carrie was awarded MVP of the tournament, and Julianna received all-tournament team.

Spirit Week- Wednesday Slipper Day

Continuing our spirit week festivities, today was slipper day. Many pairs of unique and comfy slippers were worn to school, a few of which are posted here for your enjoyment.

TCS Faculty Member Recognized at Banquet

On Thursday evening, February 6, Mr. Jeff Smith was presented with the Barnabas award at the annual Granite State Christian School Association awards banquet.  Mr. Kingsley had the privilege of reading the presentation, including this excerpt from our past administrator, Peter Flint:  "On many occasions you have encouraged me and refreshed me in spirit.  Your example before us as one sensitive to the Spirit and sensitive to staff and student needs is one that is worthy of honor.  We honor you with an earthly award that we may not know the full impact of at present but look forward to learning of in eternity.”

Mr. Smith clearly stood out among his colleagues, and we congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition!
