The girls’ basketball team had the opportunity to go the New England Association of Christian Schools regional tournament. The girls were seeded number two in the region and played their first game against Emmanuel Christian Academy on Friday night. Defeating ECA 37-23, the TCS girls moved on to play South Merrimack Christian Academy on Saturday afternoon. Coming into the tournament, TCS was 0-3 this season against SMCA. Digging out of a thirteen point hole after the first quarter, the girls rallied to tie the score at halftime. The team never looked back and ended up beating SMCA by eleven points. On Thursday evening, February 6, Mr. Jeff Smith was presented with the
Barnabas award at the annual Granite State Christian School Association
awards banquet. Mr. Kingsley had the privilege of reading the
presentation, including this excerpt from our past administrator, Peter
Flint: "On many occasions you have encouraged me and refreshed me in
spirit. Your example before us as one sensitive to the Spirit and
sensitive to staff and student needs is one that is worthy of honor. We
honor you with an earthly award that we may not know the full impact of
at present but look forward to learning of in eternity.”
Mr. Smith clearly stood out among his colleagues, and we congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition!
